Dish Head
Manufacturers specializing in dished heads for tanks and pressure vessels demand equipment that delivers both top-tier performance and productivity. CJ's production lines for dished heads integrate cutting-edge dishing presses with automatic manipulator, spinning and flanging machine, all tailored for optimal dependability to meet dished head producers' precision and material efficiency needs.
The manufacturing begins with cutting plates to create the circular blanks. For materials under 10mm thick, circular shears are employed, while thicker plates necessitate standard cutting tables. Following this, the dishing press shapes the crowning radius through multiple impacts using specialized dies. This pressing sequence is methodically executed in an automatic cycle managed by a CNC system, which also directs the manipulator for even distribution of impacts across the dished end.
After achieving the proper crowning radius, the flanging machine steps in to finalize the dished head by forming the edge, essentially crafting the knuckle radius through a spinning action. For batch production, this step is also CNC-regulated for consistency. To ensure the dished ends meet exact specifications, CJ's Flanging Machines may include a unique tool for adjusting the end depth and creating the chamfer necessary for seamless circular welding.
